For a seamless installation, inside-mounted roller blinds require a minimum 2-inch window frame depth, with the shade width needing to be 1/4-inch less than the window width, and the length matching the window. For outside-mounted roller shades, we recommend the shades be 4 inches wider and longer than the window dimensions to provide better coverage.
